I shopped for this watch for quite awhile. I finally bought it at ewatches for $288. I am glad I did not pay any more than that for it. While it is a very pretty watch and feels very substantial, I have a Technomarine of a similar size that I like much better. This watch is very large, which I like. I am not a large person, I just prefer a watch that stands out and can hold it's own. The strap was my only real concern when I bought it because I had no idea how well the silk band would hold up. I have not had it long, but so far it holds it's sheen and has remained clean and new looking. It is silk fabric bonded to leather, so the leather is what touches your wrist. It keeps good time and is lovely to look at but I certainly do not think it is worth anything close to the retail price. I'm glad I purchased it, but equally happy I only spent what I did for it.
